Lester Nowhere “Autumn’s Child”
Lester (a 20 year old beatmaker based in Florence, Italy) is a frequent guest here on Beats Only (and on our playlists). This producer has a nice future ahead. This is a bit of a different look for him and it works… lofi meets trap. Give it a shot.
Vagrant Real Estate “Cold Open”
Definitely heard of Vagrant Real Estate but hadn’t taken time to dive into this producers work. “Cold Open” has got some nice soul to it and reminds me a bit of Dilla and Madlib.
Black Lion “Miles Away”
Soulful boom bap beat from the Canadian collective, Black Lion. This one is really easy on the ears and had my head bobbin’ from the jump.
Lucas Spicer “Father”
Lucas Spicer (London, UK) drops a nice track for his Beats Only debut. “Father” channels his influences: Jay Dilla, Flying Lotus, Knxwledge, Madlib, Kanye West. His debut release “Jewelz” should drop later this month.
Kicktracks “Midnight Lovers”
Beats are worldwide. I love hearing soulful sounds from around the world. Kicktracks dropped this one on us from Spain. The drums on this are nice!
Flora Tapes “Cold Nights”
A dope chilled vibe here from Flora Tapes. Boom bap. This is Flora’s first appearance on Beats Only and we’re definitely ready to hear more.
This is an interesting concept… beats combined with spoken motivational messages.
The artist also shares: “It’s a tape I made to be played every single morning, or during every single workout, or right before you hit the library for that all nighter. Its meant to invigorate, motivate and push you to the best version of yourself.”
This is the first Beats Only appearance for German beatmaker zak235. “werbeblock.” leans boom bap with a cinematic feel to the track. Lots of movement that keeps the listen interesting.
Thnk Void “Mad”
Another drop from Los Angeles based Thnk Void. The piano sample + drums, a perfect combo. Well placed vocal samples add to the story.
New beat tape from Thijsenterprise, the producers first entry on Beats Only. It’s a solid listen.
The Dutch beatmaker shows you the chemistry between different drummers and bass players imagined at a sound check. These dynamic duos get their funky groove on while their fellow musicians are still in the dressing room going over chord changes or haven’t plugged in.
This EP contains straight up chops and loops of drumbreaks and catchy bass lines, with no singers allowed. This is a personal tribute to the place where the beatmaker was born and raised: Dokkum, the Netherlands.
The Pharcyde “She Said – Remix Instrumental”
This is fire. It’s very easy on the ears and has that classic golden era vibe. Head nods + on repeat. Most definitely one of my favorite Pharcyde instrumentals.
79.5 “Terrorize My Heart (Tall Black Guy Bounce Rmx)”
Not an instrumental here but… it’s a remix produced by one of our favorite producers, Tall Black Guy. This is nice!
