James’ makes it clear that lives get touched and haters get hushed with a smooth and confident flow which he’s perfected over the years. He may not have a lot of cream, but he will make it something happen with a dollar and a dream. He sounds right at home over the pensively funky guitar snaps which would get the gun finger salute at any Hip-Hop show. There is nothing like that intangible peace from knowing your value doesn’t come from material wealth. Stack your paper if you must, but when your soul rich, it’s all good even when it ain’t all good.
