It’s been well over a century since slavery in America has been abolished, yet slavery around the globe (including America) as a whole is at an all time high. Modern day slavery has manifested itself with a new face. One of sex trafficking, Sweatshop labor, and field work to name a few. In this spoken word video, NomiS expresses this reality through the idea of “dream stealing”. The right to pursue any passion or goal being stripped from an individual as a result of forced servitude.
