2011 Sphere of Hip-Hop Awards – Video of the Year

Theory Hazit & Toni Shift “Concealed Sorrow”

2011 proved to be a strong year for music videos. Creativity and production values have quickly caught up with mainstream counterparts. One video stood head and shoulders above the rest. Concealed Sorrow’s powerful visuals and sobering message resonated with people from around the world. The video takes the topic of bullying head on and forces us to consider how we treat others… and what the consequences of bullying are. It’s the real deal and has been shown at school assemblies around the United States in an effort to create dialog amongst youth.

Read the inspiration and background information for the video for additional insight. The video was directed by Donald W. Martin Jr. and released by Illect Recordings.
