Know the list is a little extensive; just wanted to really voice my opinion. Tried to keep it "Year-Album-Artist-Song," but I am doing this at multiple times at the computer [copied and pasted from original email to site]. Anyway, some of these albums aren't necessarily favorites, but they had a song or two that I liked/loved (Phanatik's The AmazinGrace off of "Incredible Walk"), while others I don't have (ie Tedashii's "Kingdom People"). I don't have anything from 2009. Also, there are still a couple songs that I like, but left them off either b/c I wasn't sure of the year, or they were part of a compilation. Here they are:

Christology (Ambassador)- /Hold Your Ground [feat. Phanatik]; Hands In the Air [feat. Enoch and Phanatik]; Honor & Glory [feat. Tonic]
[I have 1999 for this one in my library, but iTunes and Amazon list it > as 2000].

2000---man so many ground breaking albums droped this year (on some senior year of highschool junk-lots of good memories!) but on sheer relevance for compolation/concept and exposure, ima go with "Fashion Expo- round 1 TRU HIP HOP" from the sackcloth camp!
2001---grrr another hard one sorry but gotta go with "DeepSpace5- night we called it a day" too many dope emcees...
2002---def def DEF "Sharlok Poems-Left" biggest drop that year..album is still hot!
2003---lots of great albums this year for sure....but when you go against my guy SUP aka soup the Chemist!!! COMON- "Eargasmic Arangements" in my eyes one of the most classic and foreboding records in hip hop HISTORY! it made you want to start rapping/producing.....or just stop and give up.....all on the same day!
2004---didn't like alot this year, but "Flynn Adam-In Like Flynn" was a nice experimental push and put some rain to the drought.
2005---on pure gut/soul and UNIQNESS................................................................."Ohmega Watts-The Find". There. I said it.
2006---Pro-Pain and PJ the summer time pool party are bangin this one out!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhg.....PJ won. gots to give it to the pool party
2007---this was a real hard year to judge as well but uh, "Theroy Hazit-Extra Credit" has it.
2008---Kaboose is the hommie...Theory Hazit w/Vintage was hot----ill give it to "Kaboose-excuse me" just cux Theory all ready got love on the countdown.
2009---Way to end the decade out---"Cas Metah- the guest room" bringing the hotness!

2000 - Human Emergency - There Video was on BET and they had like 16 bars of "What Do You See" in the Source!
2001 - No Plan B - "Back In The Day Part 2" (The album says 2000 but whatever! This album was a Godsend for me and I listened to it non-stop in 01. I didn't even know Ahmad was the same dude until I got the album!)
2002 - Baloney - Listen all of J-Beats verses (I think it's him) - "I'm on the scene lookin clean, with the sick tone jeans as I lean upon the beat kinda like James Dean..." & "Ways parallel to the count of Monte Cristo..." (You know the guy!)
2003 - CIWYW was released online for like a month (January I think). I got one and I still listen to it and my kids love it now!
2004 - HipRockSoul - The appearances from J5, Will.i.am, and Dilated put this one over the top. (Also this year was the first time you could buy Respect and the No Plan B Interscope version.)
2005 - Disappear Here - "Rise"
2006 - Propain - The album was done long before 06 and when it finally hit the shelves and it probably didn't sell well. The collabs are great but the best one is probably "Effortless".
2007 - Alive At The Assembly Live - Saw him at Warped Tour 08 - "Cycle"
2008 - The IV - NBA LIVE! "Ain't been nothin' good like that since Sanford and Son!"
